Press Release: Newly Elected and Appointed Advisory Board Members 2024

CHICAGO, September 5, 2023 — The AHRMM membership elected Adrienne N. Ainsworth, MBA, Enterprise Vice President, Strategic Sourcing at Advocate Health; Kumbia Lewis MBA, CMRP, Director of Supply Chain at Texas Children's Hospital; Anna Pinilla, JD, MCIPS Associate Vice President, Network Supply Chain Management at Westchester Medical Center Health Network; and Karen Kresnik, MSN, RN,CMRP, Vice President of Supply Chain Member Networks at Vizient Inc., as provider and affiliate representatives to the 2024 advisory board. Ainsworth, Lewis, Pinilla, and Kresnik will begin their advisory board terms on January 1, 2024. 


The 2023 AHRMM Advisory Board elected Amanda Chawla, MHA, FACHE, CMRP, Chief Supply Chain Officer, VP at Stanford Medicine, as chair-elect of the 2024 advisory board. Chawla will serve as advisory board chair in 2025.


Chawla is a leader with more than 20 years of experience leading every type of organization in clinical and non-clinical roles and she brings a unique lens of being both a customer as well as a leader in supply chain. She leads with a "people mindset" and firmly believes the success in AHRMM’s mission is through relationships and partnership.


In her current role, Chawla’s responsibilities include system-wide sourcing and supply chain operations, category management, contracting, master data and analytics, demand planning, and business transformation. Some of her recent accomplishments include being named as 2020’s Health Care Supply Chain Leader of the Year, and leading Stanford Supply Chain to achieve Gartner Top 25 Supply Chain ranking. 


As chair-elect, Chawla is eager to serve by managing strategic plans and objectives, and a commitment to intentional leadership that requires leaning in at a deeper level to connect with various constituents to listen, understand, build alignment, and elevate the work together. Chawla has been a provider AHRMM member since 2010.


As Enterprise Vice President of Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing at Advocate Health in Pewaukee, WI, Adrienne Ainsworth, MBA, has thrived in an environment of constant change. As a provider representative, she will help guide AHRMM to further enhance resources to enable the next generation of supply chain professionals to advance health care through supply chain excellence. 


Kumbia Lewis, MBA, CMRP is the Director of Supply Chain at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, TX. Lewis has worked in health care supply chain for over 25 years. As a provider representative, she intends to continue to build trusting relationships with all levels of staff involved in supply chain and hospital administrators. Her goal is to promote AHRMM's mission and assist with building future supply chain leaders.


Associate Vice President of Network Supply Chain Management at Westchester Medical Center Health Network in Mt. Kisco, NY, Anna Pinilla, JD, MCIPS, brings her diverse and successful experience as a supply chain leader to the Advisory Board. As a provider representative, she will bring combined experience and expertise for action and results-focused execution and the ability to empower people in the work of developing agile supply chains to help strengthen AHRMM’s leadership and vision into the future.


With more than 25 years of experience in health care Karen Kresnik, MSN, RN, CMRP, is currently Vice President of Supply Chain Member Networks at Vizient Inc. in Elkhorn, NE. As an affiliate representative, Kresnik plans to use her experiences to unite provider and affiliate representatives at AHRMM around a solutions platform encouraging the development of health care supply chain professionals, advocating for the voice of health care supply chain to solve for today’s and the future’s disruptors, and ensuring AHRMM continues to provide value to AHRMM’s members.
